Woot~ They have finally installed the new heater into the pool at work haha... no more freezing my butt off for 4.5 hours in cold water! It's set to 30.8 degrees which is awesomely warm haha. Although I do feel sorry for squad swimmers and lap swimmers as they suffer in the new pool. But I guess in terms of business, LTS is much more profitable than squad... so the little kids get priority :P.
Neways I don't have much more to add.

LTS: learn to swim? Anyway, is it a indoor or outdoor pool? I wonder if it's possible to heat outdoor pools without wasting all the heat...
ReplyDeleteI hate it when swimming pool is cold.. makes your ears feel all achey after a while... So I'm happy for you. :P
haha... yeah u can heat outdoor pools... our 50m at work is heated. But its even warmer in the summer months cos of the sun... And you just need to add pool covers to conserve the pool temperature to keep the heat in. But the worse part of teaching in cold water aint the ears (which im kinda immune to being in the water so often) but its the reduction of core temperature and all the associated effects of it lol... ie. uncontrollable shivering and reduction of focus (not knowing what ur doing)... and being as stiff as a baseball bat. lol
